Payment Asia has signed an MoU with G+D China, Hong Kong Economic Times (HKET) reported. Both sides will explore cold wallets and agentic payments in Hong Kong, Macao, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
One focus is TruSafe, which pairs a card-based cold wallet with a mobile app. The app lets users manage digital assets, while private keys stay on a secure chip in the card.
The partners will also study agentic payments, where AI agents draw up payment orders and handle the steps for a user. They can only act within the limits and rules a user sets.
Paul Tang, COO of Payment Asia Group, said AI and Web3 are changing how businesses operate and transact.
Tang added that payment systems must keep pace so new technology can fit into daily business.
Earlier, Payment Asia ran a full B2B settlement with OSL Group and Anchorpoint Financial. It used HKDAP, a regulated Hong Kong dollar stablecoin.
For example, logistics partner ShipAny was paid in HKDAP for delivering POS terminals. The stablecoin also covered staff hotel, day-stay and co-working bookings on the Flow platform.
Anchorpoint, which holds a Hong Kong stablecoin licence, issued and redeemed the tokens. OSL supported distribution and settlement. Payment Asia linked each payment to a verified service and managed risk controls.
In addition, the group has launched two AI tools for merchants. The first, the Merchant Health Index, gives each merchant a financial health score.
It uses compliance, registration and transaction data to flag risks and unusual payments early.
ARCS, the second tool, uses AI to produce marketing text and product images for SMEs. Selected F&B merchants are invited to trial it.
