iCOMPASS has launched KY-AI (Know Your Artificial Intelligence) in Hong Kong. The firm presented the AI governance tool at Hong Kong Fintech Week 2026.
The launch follows the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s ART Framework, introduced in October.
The framework sets out how banks should handle accountability, resilience and trust as AI systems act more on their own.
Banks increasingly use AI to handle sensitive data, suggest decisions and act across linked systems.
iCOMPASS says this leaves banks with a basic test. They need to know where their AI runs, what it may do, who owns it and whether it behaves as it should.
KY-AI uses a four-step cycle the firm calls Know, Approve, Test and Watch. It helps banks list the AI tools they use, including third-party ones.
They can then assess the risks, name an owner and set up approvals and checks. It also tracks major changes and flags new risks, so banks can step in when needed.

“With KY-AI, we are applying the same discipline of knowing your customer to knowing your artificial intelligence,”
said Raymond Moh, CEO of iCOMPASS.
KY-AI builds on the firm’s ULTRA KYC product, which links onboarding, screening, due diligence and monitoring in one AML/KYC workflow. KY-AI applies the same focus on ownership and records to AI.
iCOMPASS has also signed an MoU with Cambridge Advisers Hong Kong to offer compliance training.
Cambridge Advisers will supply the courses, while iCOMPASS runs the learning platform and tracks continuous professional training (CPT). Topics include AML, cybersecurity, data protection and professional conduct.
