The move is aimed at the creator and gig economy, where many payees already hold PayPal or Venmo accounts.
LianLian Global will handle cross-border collection, foreign exchange and compliance. PayPal will provide its global wallet network.
Clients can pay PayPal users with only an email address or phone number. No bank details are required.
Platforms that pay many sellers and creators can send bulk payouts through PayPal Payouts for Platforms. PayPal Payouts is live in 96 markets and 24 currencies.

“We see our work with PayPal as a key step in building the payout rails for the global gig economy,”
