Unlimit has signed a partnership agreement with the Hong Kong Government, which named the global financial infrastructure company a Strategic Enterprise.
The agreement supports its plans to make the city a flagship Asia-Pacific hub for cross-border payments and multi-currency settlement.
The designation comes from the government’s Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES).
OASES aims to attract international businesses in sectors of strategic importance to Hong Kong, including fintech and AI.
It gives selected companies tailored support to establish and expand their operations in the city.
From Hong Kong, Unlimit plans to expand its presence across Asia-Pacific.
Through its proprietary payment network, it aims to help businesses enter new markets and move money across borders. According to the company, this network spans more than 180 countries.
Earlier, in August 2026, Unlimit obtained a Hong Kong Money Service Operator (MSO) licence.

“Hong Kong is one of the world’s most important financial centres, and we see it as a key base for the next phase of our growth,”
said Michele Fung, Head of APAC at Unlimit.
