Alibaba Cloud announced that Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Platform will become available on its platform starting 18 December 2023.

The partnership enables companies in China, especially multinational companies, to use Salesforce’s powerful CRM tools on Alibaba Cloud, ensuring they meet market needs and comply with China’s data residency laws and local app ecosystems.

Sales Cloud is a sales growth platform that empowers sales teams to identify sales leads, manage customer relationships, track sales progress, and automate processes to help close deals faster and drive revenue.

Meanwhile, Service Cloud serves as a tool for customer service teams, aiming to streamline customer interactions and service operations. It includes features for managing customer support tickets, accessing a knowledge base, and handling queues.

Lastly, the Salesforce Platform is a low code application development platform that extends the scope and functionality of CRM. Customers will be able to build, test and deploy applications that automate business processes and bring greater efficiency to any workflow, user, department or industry.

Alibaba Cloud and Salesforce will also offer exclusive features for mainland China. These features will include integrations with key Chinese social media and messaging platforms, helping companies to serve customers on their preferred channels.

A select group of early adopters have already started deploying Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud including Education First (EF), an international education company.

“Reaching this milestone is a testament to the remarkable engineering effort and the close collaboration between Alibaba Cloud and Salesforce.

Our partnership with Alibaba Cloud will provide an integrated and innovative platform for our customers operating in the Salesforce ecosystem in mainland China.”

said Phil Richardson, Chief Operating Officer, Global Technology Partners, Salesforce.

“Alibaba Cloud’s robust and secure infrastructure, combined with Salesforce’s trusted, localised products for the Chinese market, will enable enterprises operating in mainland China to better meet the unique local demands while maintaining global Salesforce standards.

We look forward to introducing more leading products through our partnership with Salesforce to support our customers’ business growth,”

said Edward Cai, Chief Commercial Officer, Alibaba Cloud.
