HashKey Capital and AMBR have formed a strategic partnership to explore the use of AI agents in financial services and digital assets.
AMBR, formerly known as Amber Premium, said it is the company’s first major partnership since rebranding as an agentic AI firm in September.
Michael Wu, founder and CEO of AMBR, and Deng Chao, CEO of HashKey Capital, announced the partnership during Hong Kong FinTech Week.
The partnership combines AMBR’s AI agent technology and financial infrastructure with HashKey Capital’s institutional investment and fund management experience.
Both firms plan to study how AI agents could support investment research, operational automation and institutional client services.
Their aim is to integrate AI more deeply into operations, with agents completing complex, multi-step tasks rather than only providing information.
According to AMBR, the work will follow three principles drawn from building its own agents. These are human oversight, clear limits on agent autonomy and data that remains under control.
In addition, the partnership covers products, giving AMBR clients access to a wider range of HashKey Capital’s products and services.

“The financial and digital asset sectors are moving rapidly from informational AI to task-oriented AI agents capable of operating in 24/7, data-dense environments,”
said Deng.

“Within a decade, we anticipate that most economic activity will run through AI agents, and finance will lead,”
said Wu.
However, he noted that trust is currently the main barrier, as agents need to understand real financial workflows and know their limits.
HashKey Capital described the partnership as an early strategic engagement with AI agent technology.
Both companies called it a preliminary milestone and plan to share further updates as their joint work progresses.
