Hex Trust, an institutional-grade digital asset custodian with licenses in major global financial centers, has recently expanded its advisory board with the addition of Dr. Dimitrios Kavvathas and Marty Jetton. Their appointments are expected to enhance the company’s strategic direction and growth in the digital asset sector.
Dr. Kavvathas, with his extensive experience in global financial markets, has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago. His career includes over two decades of high-level positions, notably spending 12 years as a Managing Director and Partner at Goldman Sachs in London, before taking on significant roles in Hong Kong.
His experience spans various senior roles, including the Chief Strategy Officer of Amber Group and the CIO of Harmony Advisors. Dr. Kavvathas is also the founder of Ithaca, a non-custodial, composable option protocol.
“I am thrilled to join Hex Trust’s advisory board. I have full confidence in the business’ vision and am eager to contribute to their expansion efforts.
Hex Trust’s position as a top digital asset custodian, evident from its client base and licensed framework, is inspiring, and I am delighted to be part of this journey,”
said Dr. Kavvathas.
Marty Jetton, transitioning to the advisory board from his role within Hex Trust as Chief Network Officer, brings a wealth of knowledge from his background in traditional finance, custody, and blockchain technologies.
Jetton’s experience includes significant roles at JPMorgan and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Asia, where he focused on risk management, operational integration, and regulatory compliance.
He said,
“Joining the advisory board is a natural progression in my journey with Hex Trust. The opportunity to further influence and shape the future of digital asset custody and management is incredibly exciting.
Clearly leveraging the technological advantage that Blockchain can bring in managing risk, whilst not losing sight of the traditional risk elements consistently inherent in these innovative products, is challenging though rewarding, and I look forward to contributing towards Hex Trust’s continued innovation and success in the digital asset space.”
