Cyberport, Hong Kong’s Web3.0 hub, is launching a series of Web 3.0 events called “Web3 Innovators Season” from October to November to deepen public awareness of the industry, foster exchange in the industry, and accelerate the development of the local ecosystem.
Since the allocation of HKD 50 million in the 2023-24 Budget earlier this year, Web3 Hub@Cyberport has developed rapidly and brought together over 210 Web 3.0 companies and startups.
It focuses on three key pillars to promote the development of the Web 3.0 ecosystem, including talent cultivation, industry development and public awareness of the industry.
In late August this year, the Web3 Living Lab was launched and officiated by the Financial Secretary, Paul Chan Mo-po.
Peter Yan, CEO of Cyberport said,
“As Hong Kong’s Web3 Hub, Cyberport is committed to promoting the development of blockchain and Web 3.0 technologies. The series of themed events from “Web3 Innovators Season” will bring together internationally renowned industry leaders, experts, developers and entrepreneurs, providing a platform for the local and international Web 3.0 community to explore technology innovation, cross-industry collaboration and entrepreneurial opportunities.
We will continue to work with partners from different sectors to cultivate talents, promote industry development and raise public awareness of the Web 3.0 industry to drive the development of the Web 3.0 ecosystem and energise entrepreneurship in Hong Kong.”
