True Global Ventures 4 Plus Fund and Follow On Fund (TGV 4 Plus FoF) has invested US$38 million in Animoca Brands and bought US$16 million in equity from the secondary market.
This comes in addition to TGV’s participation in the company’s recent US$110 million round led by Temasek, Bayou Capital and GGV.

said Yat Siu, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands.
The recent funding comes with new appointments among the company’s senior ranks, led by the appointment of former Gemini head of finance Jared Shaw as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
Other management appointments include May Szeto as Group HR Director, Jamii Quoc as Head of Legal – Commercial and M&A, Samuel Tse as M&A Director, and Josh Du as Head of Digital Assets Portfolio.
“Jared brings to us not only relevant experience from leading Gemini’s finance operations, but also extensive business, audit and asset management experience at Goldman Sachs, Ernst & Young, and Prudential.
