Ping An Digital Bank has added private funds to its wealth services in Hong Kong.
The bank says this makes it the first digital bank in the city to enter high-end wealth management.
These semi-liquid funds come from global fund houses such as J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Aberdeen Investments.
Customers can invest through the bank’s online platform. It has analysis tools and trading features that the bank likens to those of online brokers.
For those who want more help, the bank also offers offline wealth services.
Hong Kong’s wealth sector has grown fast. Assets under management rose 20% to a record HK$42.2 trillion in 2025, according to the latest annual survey by the Securities and Futures Commission.
Private banking and private wealth assets reached nearly HK$12.9 trillion. Even so, the bank noted that high-end wealth services often set high entry thresholds.
As a result, they may not fully meet the needs of some people with large assets who want global asset allocation or alternative investments. The new service is aimed at this group, the bank said.

“Since launching our wealth services in March 2026, we have observed strong demand among customers for diversified asset allocation and flexible wealth management solutions,”
said Ronald Iu, Chief Executive of Ping An Digital Bank.
Next, the bank plans to grow its high-end wealth business by pairing personalised offline services with its digital platform.
