Nota Sign has integrated its electronic signature platform with Hong Kong’s official digital identity platform, iAM Smart, enabling businesses and individuals in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area to use verified digital identities for cross-border electronic signing.

Nota Sign is the global electronic signature platform of Shenzhen-based technology company Fadada.

The integration connects Nota Sign with Hong Kong’s digital identity infrastructure, allowing users to complete identity verification and digital signing through a streamlined workflow.

The iAM Smart mobile application recorded more than 10 million cumulative downloads by the first quarter of 2026 and provides access to over 1,400 online services and electronic forms from government departments, public organisations and private institutions.

The platform supports electronic signature and data privacy requirements across more than 100 countries and regions.

It complies with international regulatory frameworks including the European Union’s eIDAS Regulation, the US ESIGN Act, Hong Kong’s Electronic Transactions Ordinance and the GDPR.

Nota Sign has completed ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications, as well as SOC 2 Type I and Type II audits. It also operates regional data centres to support data localisation requirements.

    Authentication and traceability

Through the integration, users can authorise access to Nota Sign directly through their iAM Smart accounts. Signatories can verify their identities and complete contracts, commercial documents and official records without repeated registration or manual data entry.

The platform encrypts data throughout the signing process and records user actions to maintain traceability and support legal and regulatory requirements.

    Corporate and individual use cases

The integration reduces reliance on paper-based processes and in-person verification for transactions in Hong Kong and across the Greater Bay Area. Nota Sign supports digital signing use cases across business operations, financial and corporate services, human resources management and personal affairs.

Businesses can use the platform to complete procurement contracts, service agreements, supply chain confirmations and other commercial documents online.

Human resources teams can also process employment contracts, confidentiality agreements and cross-border assignment documents digitally.

For financial and corporate services, the integration can support processes such as account opening, insurance applications, wealth management agreements and other customer documentation workflows.

Hong Kong residents can also use the service for personal matters such as tenancy agreements, personal authorisations and cross-border mandates, reducing the need for repeated identity verification appointments.

    Expanding regional reach

Nota Sign previously partnered with Digi-Sign, a commercial recognised certification authority under Hong Kong’s Tradelink.

Overseas users without an iAM Smart account can use Tradelink iD-One together with passport-based eKYC verification to obtain a digital certificate.

The company said it will continue developing digital signing infrastructure to support Chinese enterprises expanding overseas, Hong Kong and Macao businesses entering mainland China, and cross-border collaboration across the region.
