Shanghai Commercial Bank (Shacom Bank) has partnered with fintech firm Planto to launch a cross-bank financial analytics tool for its corporate customers in Hong Kong.

The solution uses the HKMA Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) framework to consolidate customer-authorised financial data from multiple banks into a single interface.

Expected to launch in early 2026, the tool integrates directly into the Shacom Business mobile app.

It replaces manual reconciliation processes with automated data consolidation. Business owners can monitor cash flow patterns across Shacom and 11 other banks.

After authorising access via the framework, corporate clients unlock several new analytics features. The platform provides a daily balance tracker and analyses up to 18 months of cash flow data.

It maps payment cycles, highlights large transactions for review of potential anomalies or opportunities, and categorises inflows and outflows by transaction type.

The system also detects monthly recurring payments to help businesses understand predictable cash flow patterns.

The integration offers additional operational oversight by analysing frequent payer and payee relationships for supplier management.

It aggregates foreign currency expenditures, monitors key transaction channels, and breaks down revenue by overseas market to track international performance.

For banks, the IADS-enabled analytics strengthen risk management by providing relationship managers with clearer insights into the financial behaviour of their SME clients.

“We have been actively expanding innovative fintech solutions that support SME business growth,”

said Ryan Fung, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief of Retail and Digital Strategy, Shanghai Commercial Bank.

“Through intelligent data insight and secure platforms, we help SMEs enhance operational efficiency.”

The partnership reflects growing adoption of data-sharing frameworks to support more data-driven SME banking services.

“Banks have long had the data, but not the tools to turn it into instant decisions for SMEs,”

said Jessica Liu, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Planto.

“With IADS, we are giving banks a new BFM layer that transforms days of financial work into seconds.
