Visa has named Arturo Planell as its new Group Country Manager for Japan, Korea and Mongolia.
The executive takes on the role after previously leading Regional Southeast Asia, as well as the Global Sellers and Digital Sales teams.
Planell announced the leadership change in a LinkedIn post, marking his transition from his previous regional remit.
He thanked his Southeast Asia teams, clients and partners, saying,

“We built something I’m incredibly proud of, not just because of the results we achieved, but because of how we achieved them: with ambition, integrity, trust, and a lot of fun along the way.”
In his new position, Planell will oversee Visa’s business activities across the three markets.
He said his immediate focus will be on listening, learning and working alongside local teams, clients and partners to build the future together.
