Huawei has launched new financial AI solutions at its Intelligent Finance Summit 2026 in Shanghai, introducing tools to support central bank payments, risk control, and core banking operations.
The technology provider introduced its Financial Data Intelligence Solution 6.0 and Digital CORE Solution 6.0.
Huawei built these tools to assist global financial institutions in upgrading legacy architectures using a hybrid AI system powered by open-source foundation models.

“By driving sustained innovation in foundational software and hardware, building systematic engineering capabilities, and providing localised services, Huawei has established an effective business growth flywheel,”
said Jason Cao, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Finance BU at Huawei.
Upgrading data platforms and anti-fraud systems
The Financial Data Intelligence tool includes an AI data lake that supports multimodal storage to process unstructured data like documents and videos.
The company developed a data governance framework with partners Keyrus and Sunline to improve data utilisation.
Huawei also introduced a targeted marketing tool built with Sensors Data.
For risk control, the company partnered with TrustDecision to build an intelligent anti-fraud system that achieves a 30-millisecond detection response time.
The system incorporates AI-driven case analysis to improve operational efficiency.
Modernising core banking architecture
The Digital CORE system expands into credit cards, central bank payments, and insurance core modernisation.
Huawei collaborated with Stefanini and Sunline to develop an AI-powered code transpilation tool that speeds up application updates.
The core system updates feature a cell-based architecture designed to handle traffic surges of up to 10 times normal volumes. The system maintains high availability.
The company also announced plans to train more than 10,000 interdisciplinary experts over the next three years.
This aims to strengthen technical talent in the financial sector.
