Banma Intelligence and Alipay have launched an AI cockpit solution that introduces in-car voice payments to smart vehicles at the 2026 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.
The system integrates Alipay AI Pay, allowing drivers to complete transactions using voice commands without needing a smartphone.
The initial rollout covers entertainment and travel services, enabling users to purchase movie tickets, book hotels, and order food while driving.
“With large models onboard, vehicles can understand user intent and make recommendations,”
said Ming Cai, Chief Product Officer at Banma Intelligence.
“By integrating Alipay AI Pay into our AI cockpit solution, we are removing the last friction point in the smart cockpit experience.”
Using Banma Intelligence’s Yan AI, the system processes spoken requests, selects options, and finalises the purchase after verbal confirmation from the driver.
Alipay provides the underlying security, applying multi-layered risk management and real-time anti-fraud measures to protect the transactions.
Major automotive manufacturers have completed technical integration testing with the new system.
These companies plan to introduce the voice payment feature in new vehicle models during the second half of 2026.
Alipay introduced its AI-native payment system in 2025.
The company reported the product surpassed 100 million users in February 2026 and processed over 120 million transactions in a single week that month.
The product is part of a broader push into agentic commerce in China, where AI agents embedded in retail applications and smart glasses facilitate consumer purchases.
