The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) on 27 March 2026 announced the winners of the Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) Developer Hackathon at the IADS Developer Conference, held at Hong Kong Science Park.
The event concludes a six-month programme aimed at advancing the use of the IADS framework.
Launched in October 2025, the hackathon brought together banks and fintech firms to develop customer-consented data-sharing solutions, with a focus on improving digital banking capabilities.
Following a selection and mentorship process, five finalist teams presented their solutions to a judging panel.

Fill Easy Limited

With the rapid advancement of Gen AI, the prevalence of deepfake documents and identities is increasing. Fill Easy specialises in accessing government digital identities to conduct KYC, a fraud-free process guaranteed by governments and regulators worldwide, resulting in enhanced user experiences, increased data security, and zero fraud.
Nelson Chow, Executive Director (Financial Infrastructure) at the HKMA, said,

“The IADS Developer Hackathon has served as a catalyst for innovation in the banking sector. It has been encouraging to see teams deliver practical solutions that open up new opportunities for financial services. Looking ahead, we will continue to strengthen collaboration with banks and fintech firms to support broader adoption of the IADS.”

“The IADS Developer Hackathon reflects collaboration within Hong Kong’s innovation community. By connecting fintech talent with industry needs, the programme has supported ideas aimed at improving banking efficiency and user experience through secure data sharing. HKSTP provided a sandbox testing platform and technical support for the competition.”
