The Asian Financial Forum (AFF) is an annual signature event held in Hong Kong every January to promote collaboration in the Asia’s financial industry and will be returning on 10-11 Jan 2022.
Marking its 15th edition, this year’s Asian Financial Forum will provide the participants with a dual in-person and virtual experience.
Selected sessions and exhibitions will be held physically at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 10 Jan 2022, while all sessions and exhibitions will be available on the AFFs virtual platform over the course of the two-day event.
Under the theme of “Navigating the Next Normal towards a Sustainable Future”, AFF will discuss key issues shaping a sustainable and resilient future against the backdrop of a gradual global economic recovery.
This is in line with the Hong Kong government’s efforts to develop the fintech sector and to build a vibrant fintech ecosystem by leveraging the city’s financial fundamentals and sound capital market infrastructure.
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority had recently introduced the “Fintech 2025” plan to facilitate the growth of local fintech development as well as to enhance digital transformation of the financial industry.
Around 100 innovators and startups from around the world, including PwC, Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of China, HSBC, China International Capital Corporation and the Hong Kong Cyberport, will present an array of advanced technologies.
At the AFF’s exhibitions, namely the Fintech Showcase and the FintechHK Startup Salon, a plethora of game changing fintech and tech related ideas will be showcased.
New-gen technopreneurs and startups, including Choco Up, Paygilant Ltd, SmartWage, Spark Systems, AQUMON, Fano Labs, will demonstrate cutting-edge solutions and game-changing business ideas on blockchain, wealthtech, regtech, AI, robots, etc to address business pain points and to help corporates with their digital transformation.
Keynote speakers, Mark Carney, UN Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance, and Brett King, Bestselling Author and Founder of the fintech firm Moven will shed light on sustainability and innovation, providing the AFF participants with firsthand market intelligence to stay resilient in the post-pandemic era.
