The Business Unit Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a professional team or department. The team drives the overall administrative activities of the business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Unit Manager coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs and ad hoc projects as necessary.
- This role will have a dual-cluster & country Business Execution lead role:-
- Country: Japan in support of their respective TTS Country & CCPS Sales Head;
- Cluster: JANA (Japan, Asia North & Australia) in support of the JANA COO/BE Head, based in Hong Kong, working with broader JANA BE organization
- In collaboration with sales org, drive consistent, professional delivery of all client management disciplines including: account planning, call reporting, lead generation, pipeline management, implementation acceleration, origination to revenue realization, share of wallet / competitor analytics and continuous focus on end-to-end client experience
- Collaborate with teams in cross-functional departments within TTS (Sales and Product) and with TTS partners within JANA cluster and those in cross-cluster / global teams.
- Summarize and review client performance analytics, provide insights and recommendations on areas for focus and improvement.
- Support local delivery of key projects (e.g. platform modernization), regulatory reviews and franchise-wide initiatives.
- Cluster responsibilities include supporting JANA COO/BE Head in driving cluster-wide strategic priorities and initiatives, involving collaboration with JANA & cross-cluster BE teams
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- 10+ years of experience in financial services
- Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology, including Profit & Loss (P&L), accruals, client allocations, capitalization, recovery and fixed price contracts
- Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Fluency in both Japanese and English language skills preferred
